Abbaye de Vauclair Bière Blonde (Brasserie Goudale)

Howdy! Do you take recommendations? Yes, we do! Cheers for sending this one in for CansAcrossTheWorld.com to check out.

Today, we’re checking out the Abbaye de Vauclair Bière Blonde which was brewed exclusively for Lidl.

This is a Belgian blonde beer, it clocks in at 6.5% ABV and comes in a rather generous 750ml bottle which would make it a nice table beer to share with your pal at dinner or just quaff the whole thing yourself!

As you can see from the photo, the bottle comes with a prosecco style cork which gives it that classy feel.

Once I had the cork out, I poured the liquid to reveal that lovely deep ruby haze with a little white head.

On the nose, there are notes of malts with caramel, fruits like banana and a bit of raspberry are present too. There’s a subtle hint of spice here, like a slight aroma of cloves.

The taste brings more of the same with a strong emphasis on the malts with biscuit and caramel flavours shining through.

The body is medium on this one and the carbonation is nicely balanced so it’s a really easy sipper. There is an overall boozy taste off this brew but it’s not overpowering at all.

It’s safe to say I’ve enjoyed this beer, it’s fantastic value for money if you’re looking for a cheap tasty beer to enjoy with dinner of an evening or get a few of these and have a great night out. Either way, you’re in safe hands here.

I’d give this 3.4 corkybois out of 5

G’luck,
Seán
