Heart and Soul Session IPA (Vocation Brewing)

This little bit of joy in a can is the Heart & Soul Session IPA by Vocation Brewery.

I grabbed a few of these 330ml cans, for science you know… To make sure the first one wasn’t a dud? Anyway, this brew clocks in at 4.4% ABV and it’s a nice day out so I’m sitting in the yard.

The can is emptied into my eager tasting glass to reveal a light amber colour with a thin white head.

On the nose, there’s hints of citrus, pine and a definite sweetness about this that has me intrigued.

The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing here with a light carbonation to it. I notice the tropical fruit flavours right away, such as mango, pineapple, grapefruit and there’s a little bitter lemon tinge to it in the after taste.

This is a grand can, goes down really well (a bit too well) on a warm day as it’s totally refreshing and light.

I’d give this 3.8 Seshybois out of 5

G’luck,
Seán
