Today, we’re checking out the Common Grounds Coffee Porter by Magic Rock brewing.
This porter style brew comes in a 330ml can and clocks in at 5.4% ABV.
I’ve poured it into my trusty and by this stage, well used tasting glass to reveal a dark brown brew with a light brown head.
On the nose, there’s a welcoming aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, roasted coffee and it smells quite sweet.
On the first sip, I notice that it’s actually quite light in body but has a nice bit of flavour about it. There’s the roasted coffee that coats your mouth, a hint of chocolate coming through and a lovely malt quality in the aftertaste that lingers.
I’ve enjoyed this as it’s really flavoursome and quite light to the point it’s easily drank.
I’d rate this 3.4 commonbois out of 5
G’luck,
Seán
