It’s always a good time when you get your hands on a Belgian blond!
This is the Kapittel Blond by Leroy Brewery which is a brewery with a rich and interesting history that you can READ HERE
The 330ml bottle clocks in at 6.5% ABV and pours a lovely golden amber colour with a generous white head.
On the nose, it’s very sweet and smells quite clean for a Belgian blond. There’s notes of lemon, grass and malts shining through here.
To taste, there’s more of the same and it’s a bit boozier than the last beer of this style I had (which was 9.5%).
There’s a lot of character to this one with the malt flavours being front and centre. There’s a bready biscuity quality to the flavour with a slightly sour note in the finish.
I’d rate this 3.2 Kapittelbois out of 5
G’luck,
