#NoCraicNovember : Sweetshop Coffee (Square Mile Coffee Roasters)

You’ve heard about going tea total, right? Well, how about going coffee total?

It’s day 2 of the annual Cans Across The World ‘No Craic November’ charity effort where we raise money for a chosen charity every year by giving up alcohol for 1 month.

This year, the chosen charity is Metal For Life who are an incredible mental health charity, you can donate directly to them on their Web Site https://www.metalforlifeni.co.uk/ or at their Pay Pal link here: https://www.paypal.com/gb/fundraiser/charity/3768593

So… Coffee? I’m incredibly excited to get stuck into this coffee and as you can see from the photo above, it comes in a classic black pack with a colourful sticker on the front.

If you’re not in the know, there are many different ways to make your cup and I have used a V60 coffee drip which you basically put a heaped measure of your coffee into with a filter and let it drip into the cup, giving you that fresh coffee shop roast vibe at home.

On the nose, there’s a sweet roast and hint of freshness off this which goes right up your nose to give your brain a little hug.

To taste, it’s incredibly, fruity, bright, sweet and there’s a slight bitterness present as well. Although, that might be my water to coffee mix in the cup. I’ll keep playing about with it to experiment with the taste.

I’ve enjoyed this coffee and the bag itself is quite big so should keep me going for a few weeks here at least. If this is the quality of coffee I’ll be drinking, I’ll absolutely breeze through this No Craic November!

I’d give this 3.5 Sweeties out of 5

G’luck,
Seán

This is the second coffee I’ve had of theirs and I’ve heard great things about this blend from my mate who reckoned his La Bolsa was far nicer than the Sweet Shop coffee I bought at more or less the same time. You can read my review of Sweet Shop right HERE. […]
